Prachanda and Madhav Nepal hold meeting in Koteshwor

KATHMANDU: CPN-Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” and CPN-UML senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal have discussed the current political developments.

The two leaders met at the residence of Madhav Nepal in Koteswor on Monday.

Maoist Chairman Prachanda reached Nepal’s residence to hold talks with the latter.

The meeting is considered significant at a time when UML Chairman KP Oli has issued a six-point appeal expressing commitment to take the party back to the status of May 16, 2018.

PM Oli, however, has demanded that the disgruntled faction withdrew the signatures from the writ petition filed at the Supreme Court seeking the appointment of Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba as the Prime Minister.

The meeting between Prachanda and Nepal comes at a time when the leaders of the Madhav faction are divided over Chairman Oli’s proposal.
