DLA demands immediate vaccination to all legal practitioners



KATHMANDU: The Democratic Lawyers Association (DLA) has demanded immediate vaccination against COVID-19 to legal practitioners who are working in the frontline for the safeguarding of the constitution and law in a pandemic.

Congratulating the newly-appointed minister for health Sher Bahadur Tamang, also a legal practitioner and former minister, DLA submitted a memorandum calling for a prompt arrangement for vaccination to lawyers.

A team headed by DLA general secretary Laxmi Devi Dahal Rawal drew the attention of the Minister for Health Tamang in view of the heightened risk of coronavirus.

As many as 750 legal practitioners were inoculated with the first dose of vaccine in the first vaccination drive. They have yet to receive the second dose as the stipulated time for the same has already passed.
