DHANGADHI: The budget session in Sudurpaschim Pradesh has been hit due to the intra-party dispute of the ruling CPN-UML.

The pre-budget discussion  which was scheduled for Sunday was postponed citing lack of preparation.

There is only one week left before the presention of the budget for the fiscal year 2021/22.

The provincial governments have  to present the annual budget by June 15 as per the provision laid down in the Constitution.

The work schedule of the executive and  legislatiure of the provincial governments have been affected due to the intra-party dispute of the ruling  CPN-UML.

“The delay in the pre-budget discussion in Sudurpaschim Pradesh is the result of the intra-party dispute of the CPN-UML,” said   CPN (Maoist Center) Provincial Lawmaker Mahesh Datta Joshi.

The situation has turned tougher after a standing committee (SC) meeting of the CPN-UML on May 24  pulled out of the government of Sudurpaschim Pradesh and called back UML ministers from the government.
