Piyari Thapa picked Rastriya Janamorcha PP leader in Gandaki PA

KATHMANDU: Rastriya Janamorcha has picked Piyari Thapa as the leader of the parliamentary party (PP) in Gandaki Province Assembly (PA).

The post of RJ PP leader fell vacant after the party revoked the party’s general membership of lawmaker Krishna Thapa, who was PP leader, for going against party’s decision in the no-confidence motion filed against Chief Minister Prithvi Subba Gurung.

Janamorcha’s eldest member Khim Bikram Shahi at a party meeting on Saturday decided to pick Thapa as the PP leader until a directive arrived the party’s central command. Accordingly, Thapa has been picked the PP leader.

PA Secretary Hari Raj Pokharel also issued a notice recognizing Thapa as Janamorcha’s PP leader.

Thapa also addressed Gandaki PA meeting Sunday in the capacity of Janamorcha’s PP leader.
