We will start implementing budget from tomorrow: Finance Minister Poudel

KATHMANDU: Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel has assured that the government would start working on the implementation of the budget instantly.

Speaking at a press conference organized on Sunday, Minister Poudel said the allegation that the budget is difficult to implement are baseless and the government would start working on the implementation of the budget from Monday.

“The government is committed to the implementation of the budget, so, the people need not have any doubts in the effectiveness of the programs and allocation of the budget,” he said.

The Finance Minister said that discussions with the concerned ministries on the basis of plan and implementation would be taken forward from tomorrow and the implementation of the budget would be expedited.

He defended the move of bringing the budget through ordinance saying that was the only means to bring budget on the stipulated time as there was no parliament.

Minister Poudel claimed that the government was committed to the vaccination campaign and added that the election was also a priority of the government.

He said the government has allocated enough fund for the election.
