Hearing on HoR dissolution to continue Monday



KATHMANDU: The next hearing of the writ petition related to the dissolution of the parliament is scheduled for Monday.

According to Supreme Court sources, the hearing on the writ petitions demanding revocation of the decision of dissolution of House of Representatives (HoR) will be continued on Monday as well.

Eleven lawyers, including eight, on behalf of the writ petitioners and three on behalf of the government, took part in the debate on Sunday.

As on Friday, most of the advocates speaking on behalf of the writ petitioners questioned the formation the Constitutional Bench and objected to the presence of justices Bam Kumar Shrestha and Tej Bahadur KC Sunday as well.

Attorney General Ramesh Badal defended the move and warned to take action against the advocates raising concern on the formation of Bench.
