Rs 12 billion allocated to Prime Minister Employment Program



KATHMANDU: The government has stated that it will create 2,00,000 more jobs in the coming fiscal year through the Prime Minister Employment Program.

Unveiling the budget for the fiscal year 2020/21, Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel said that 2,00,000 more jobs would be created through the Prime Minister’s employment program.

Unemployed youths listed in the employment service centers in local-level projects will be given employment for a minimum of 100 days.

The government has allocated Rs 12 billion for the program.
