BAN Chair Neupane dies of COVID-19



KATHMANDU: Chairman of Broadcasting Association of Nepal (BAN), an umbrella organization of all the privately owned FM stations in Nepal, Chandra Neupane has died of COVID-19.

Neupane, 47, succumbed to the virus in the course of treatment in Biratnagar Hospital on Friday morning.

He was being treated on ventilator.

Neupane had played an important role in the promotion of Saptakoshi FM, the biggest FM radio in the eastern region of Nepal.

Originally from Gauradaha of Jhapa, Neupane had served as the station manager of Koshi FM for the last 10 years.

He is survived by one son and a daughter.
