KATHMANDU: China has pledged to provide an additional one million doses of coronavirus vaccines to Nepal under grant assistance.
Chinese President Xi Jinping made the announcement on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Chinese Ambassador to Kathmandu Hou Yanchi.
The Chinese President made the announcement after a telephone conversation with President Bidya Devi Bhandari.

China had earlier given 800,000 doses of the coronavirus vaccine to Nepal.
On Wednesday afternoon, President Bhandari had urged Chinese President Xi to facilitate purchasing the necessary coronavirus vaccine.
She had a 40-minute talk with President Xi on Wednesday, according to the President’s Office.
