Nepal records 6,714 new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours

Kathmandu Valley witnesses 1,493 fresh COVID-19 cases



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 6,714 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 6,677  persons have tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 37 have been tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 1,139 persons in Kathmandu, 241 in Lalitpur, and 113 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for the pandemic virus, making the capital valley’s fresh coronavirus cases 1,493 in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 6,716 persons have returned home after a complete health recovery from COVID-19.

According to the Ministry, 145 people have succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
