JSP cadres burn effigies of PM Oli and Thakur



KATHMANDU: Cadres of Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) has burnt effigies of Prime Minister KP Oli and the party chair Mahantha Thakur.

Irate cadres of the Yadav-Bhattarai faction shouting slogans, “Prime Minister Oli and Mahantha Thakur are regressive,” burnt their effigies at Sakhuwanankarkatti in Siraha this morning.

Talking to media, a JSP leader Deepesh Yadav said the effigies of Oli and Thakur have been burnt since the steps taken by them are regressive and against the spirit of the Constitution.

Thakur-Mahato faction of the JSP is in favor of Prime  Minister Oli while the other faction Yadav-Bhattarai is against the Oli’s move.

The Yadav-Bhattarai faction in collaboration with Nepali Congress and Maoist Center has filed a writ petition against the dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR).

The intra-party dispute of the JSP has taken a new height with both the factions taking actions against each other.
