Nepal records 8,636 new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours

Kathmandu Valley witnesses 2,613 fresh COVID-19 cases



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 8,636 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 8,387  persons have tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 249 have been tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 1,863 persons in Kathmandu,427 in Lalitpur, and 323 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for the pandemic virus, making the capital valley’s fresh coronavirus cases 2,613 in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 6,404 persons have returned home after a complete health recovery from COVID-19.

According to the Ministry, 169 people have succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
