UML leader Nepal defies party Chair’s action against him

Says the action is baseless, meaningless and unjust



KATHMANDU: Senior leader of ruling CPN-UML Madhav Kumar Nepal has scorned Prime Minister and party Chairman KP Oli’s disciplinary action against the party 11 party leaders including him as unjust, meaningless and baseless.

Responding to party Chairman’s action against the disgruntled leaders including him, leader Nepal said on his Tuesday’s statement that the action taken by PM Oli faction was meaningless, unjust and unauthorized as well.

“I have heard that Chairman Oli has expelled 11 leaders including me, J.N. Khanal, Mukunda Neupane, and Bhim Rawal, the action is meaningless, unauthorized and baseless,” leader Nepal said, adding, “Our first task now is to oust the arrogant, arbitrary government of PM Oli.”

He vowed to launch legal, political and street movements against PM Oli.

Leader Nepal also accused party chairman Oli of working in the design of alien forces to end the party and communist movement in the country.

He appealed all people to work against the design to take the country backward and come united to take the communist movement to new height.

UML’s standing committee meeting held under PM Oli’s chairmanship on Monday decided to expel 11 leaders including Senior leaders Khanal and Nepal and also decided to seek explanation from 12 more leaders close to Nepal-Khanal faction.
