DAO Chitwan urges not to raise fund arbitrarily for COVID-19 cause

CHITWAN: The District Administration Office (DAO), Chitwan has urged one and all not to launch a fundraising campaign on their own for the COVID-19 cause.

Issuing a notice here today, the DAO Chitwan expressed its concern over the fundraising campaign being run by individuals and organizations through the various mediums for the purpose of providing support to COVID-19 patients.

“We have received complaints that some organizations have set up COVID-19 fund arbitrarily and have been collecting funds. We would like to urge them to collect the fund through a one-door process.

If anyone likes to donate for the COVID-19 case, please do it under the one-door policy,” appeals the notice.

Those willing to contribute to the COVID-19 cause could donate by depositing money in the bank account opened at the Rashtriya Banijya Bank’s Singha Durbar Branch. The account number to do the same is 196000001101, the DAO said in a notice.

The DAO, Chitwan has also informed that the infection rate and hospitalization rate in the Chitwan district were increasing lately.
