COVID-19: India records new 259,269 cases, 4,209 deaths



NEW DELHI: India recorded 259,269 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, taking the caseload to 26,030,674.

Currently, 3,033,408 are undergoing treatment at various isolation centers and hospitals. Meanwhile, 22,705,901 have returned home after treatment.

Similarly, the number of deaths from the coronavirus in India has crossed the 291,300-mark.

With 4,209 deaths in a single day, the number of deaths from the virus has reached 291,365, according to the latest figures collated by the Worldometers.

Broken out in Wuhan City of China in December 2019, the coronavirus has killed 3,444,033 and infected 165,823,630 globally until the filing of this news.
