Sudurpaschim sees 227 COVID-19 deaths in two weeks



DHANGADHI:  With 227 deaths in two weeks, the Sudurpashchim province has seen the alarmingly high number of death toll from the second wave of COVID-19.

According to the province health directorate sources, the death toll from coronavirus infection in the Sudurpaschim province has reached 317.

In a month’s duration from April 14 to May 14, the province witnessed 259 deaths from coronavirus related hazards.

The death toll of last week has been terribly high. 109 people have lost their lives in last five days and 227 people have died in the span of last 14 days in Sudurpaschim province alone, the source said.

There had been 109 death tolls from the pandemic in between May 10-14.

Doctors say most people in the Sudurpaschim have lost their lives due to lack of oxygen.
