UML leader Nepal encounters Maoist Center Chairman Prachanda in New Baneshwor

KATHMANDU: Senior CPN-UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal and CPN-Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ have come across each other at the parliament building in New Baneshwor Friday in course of resting after receiving the second dose of vaccine against coronavirus.

Two other leaders Bhim Rawal and Birodh Khatiwada were also spotted in the same resting room along with Nepal and Prachanda after receiving the vaccine.

Apparently, the two leaders engaged in conversation but the content of their conversation is not known.

The two leaders had struggled against Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s move to dissolve the parliament last year when the two belonged to Nepal Communist Party (NCP), which was formed after the merger of UML and Maoist Center in 2018.

Leader Nepal and Prachanda met frequently to chart strategy to oust PM Oli in collusion with the Nepali Congress (NC) and Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) in the past few months.

However from Thursday, they have parted ways with Nepal siding with PM Oli.

Lawmakers were administered second dose of coronavirus vaccines at parliament building in New Baneshwor Friday.
