Seven COVID-19 infected die in Biratnagar



MORANG: Seven people infected with COVID-19 have succumbed to the virus in the course of treatment in Biratnagar.

Three among those diseased died at the COVID treatment center of Koshi Hospital, three at Nobel Hospital and one at Birat Medical College.

A 38-year-old man of Biratnagar-11, 56-year-old man of Biratnagar-6, a 79-year-old man of Itahari-5 died in the course of treatment on Friday, said Anupam Rajbanshi, the information officer of the treatment center.

Similarly, a 77-year-old man of Pipara rural municipality-1, Mahottari, a 38-year-old man of Dharan-1, Sunsari and 56-year-old man of Chhatar-Jorpati-4, Dhankuta died in the course of treatment at Nobel Hospital, according to Manager of the Hospital Narayan Dahal.

Likewise, a 49-year-old man of Biratnagar Metropolitan City died from COVID-19 while undergoing treatment at Birat Medical College, said Dr Sunil Dev, the in-charge of the hospital.
