Three members of a family succumb to COVID-19 in Baglung



BAGLUNG: Three people of a family have died from COVID-19 in Badigad rural municipality-4 of Baglung district.

The deceased are an 87-year-old father and his two sons aged 51 and 40, according to District Health Office, Baglung.

They had tested positive for COVID-19 after attending a wedding ceremony in Badigad-4 two weeks ago, according to locals.

Of the deceased, octogenarian father and 40-year-old son died in the course of treatment at Dhawalagiri Hospital while 51-year-old son breathed his last at Manipal Teaching Hospital, informed Dev Prakash Ghimire, the focal person of District Health Office, Baglung.

The fear has gripped Badigad rural municipality after the three members of the same family died from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Meanwhile, the health division of the rural municipality has directed the locals to stay indoors at least for 15 days.

A prohibitory order has been imposed for 15 days through the district.
