Bagmati Pradesh lawmaker Pashupati Chaulagain dies from COVID-19



KATHMANDU: CPN-UML leader and provincial lawmaker of Bagmati Pradesh Pashupati Chaulagain has died from COVID-19.

Chaulagain who tested positive for COVID-19 on May 4 succumbed to the virus in the course of treatment at Manmohan Memorial Hospital on Tuesday night.

He was admitted to the hospital after his health condition deteriorated while doing time in isolation.

UML politburo member Chaulagain had become provincial member of Bagmati Pradesh representing Dolakha B.

He had been elected to the House of Representatives from Dolakah constituency no. 1 in the general elections held in 2056 BS.
