Prachanda blames PM Oli for all anomalies

“You have lost all moral grounds to continue as a PM”

KATHMANDU: Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda” has labeled Prime Minister KP Oli as being the source of all anomalies.

“I am ready to discuss with you all issues. Let me remind you that I have never become a national problem as you have put the blames on me,” Prachanda said.

Prachanda said PM Oli has lost all moral grounds to continue as a Prime Minister.

“You are accustomed to accusing others of your weaknesses,” Prachanda alleged the PM adding, “We dilly-dallied in withdrawing our support to the government due to the suspicion that you would dissolve the House of Representatives again.”

He said that the political parties are not still convinced with the manner you have attempted to test the floor.

“We still smell a rat in your behavior,” Prachanda said alleging the government for failing to control the COVID-19 pandemic.

Prachanda also asked PM Oli to step down and pave the way towards forming a new government.

Prachanda also said that Prime Minister Oli has no right to seek a vote of confidence from the House of Representatives as he had tried to dissolve it before.

Addressing the Special Session of the House of Representatives on Monday, Prachanda said the PM had never been serious towards the parliament.

He asked PM Oli whether he still had the moral right to seek the vote of confidence.

“You are the one to dissolve the House of Representatives, so how you dare to ask for the vote of confidence after your plot did not work,” former PM Prachanda asked PM Oli.

Prachanda added that after the restoration of the parliament and Supreme Court’s decision to nullify erstwhile ruling Nepal Communist Party, the PM should have taken a vote of confidence within thirty days of the decision.

“I don’t see the PM can garner majority for the vote of confidence; hence, I request him to resign and make room for the next government,” he said.

Prachanda reminded the discussions during the Constitution drafting process and added that he is sad to see the political instability.

He recalled that he had proposed the incumbent PM for the post and complained that due to some ill-intent activities of the government he has to regret the decision.
