86 medical persons infected in Chitwan

BHARATPUR: With the second of COVID-19 taking toll on public health in Nepal, a total of 86 medical persons including doctors, nurses, and health-workers have been infected in Chitwan district.

According to Gitanjali Dhakal, the public health officer of the District Health Office, Chitwan, 22 medical persons tested positive for COVID-19 at Bharatpur Hospital, 22 at Chitwan Medical College, 19 at Old Medical College and 16 at BP Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital.

Similarly, seven medical persons including doctors and health-workers have been infected at Bagauda Hospital, Rapti Hospital, Bakulhar Hospital, and Kalika Hospital, informed Dhakal.

As many as 2,080 people have tested positive for COVID-19 since April 14 in the district. Of them, 17 have died.
