Nepal records highest-ever 9,070 new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours

Kathmandu Valley witnesses 3,972 fresh COVID-19 cases



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 9,070 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 8,970 persons have been tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 100 have been tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 3,163 persons in Kathmandu, 567 in Lalitpur, and 242 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for the pandemic virus.

According to the Ministry, there are 72,561 active cases as of Thursday afternoon.

Meanwhile, 2,707 persons have returned home after complete health recovery from COVID-19.

Similarly, the ministry shared that 54 more fatalities were reported in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 3,529.
