Gandaki PA conflict: Speaker to call an all-party meet prior to assembly

POKHARA: The Speaker of Gandaki Province Assembly, Netra Nath Adhikari has decided to convene an all-party meeting to discuss the date of the adjourned special session of the Gandaki Provincial Assembly.

At the meeting of the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) held on Monday, the lawmakers agreed to find a way out for the ongoing impasse by convening an all-party meeting.

According to the sources, the all-party meeting would review the development after the adjourned meeting of the special session and find the way out from it.

The third sitting of the special session of the state assembly was adjourned after a Rastriya Janamorcha lawmaker Khim Bikram Shahi went out of contact on the same day as the no-confidence motion against Chief Minister Prithvi Subba Gurung.

Since then, the meeting of the special session of the province assembly has been adjourned indefinitely.
