Nepal records highest-ever 7,211 new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours

Kathmandu Valley witnesses 3,595 fresh COVID-19 cases



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 7,211 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 7,137 persons have been tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 74 have been tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 2,744 persons in Kathmandu, 550 in Lalitpur, and 301 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for the pandemic virus, as of Sunday afternoon.

Meanwhile, 1,612 persons have returned home after complete health recovery from COVID-19.

Similarly, the ministry shared that 27 more fatalities were reported in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 3,325.
