Lumbini State cabinet recommends ending assembly session



BUTWAL: The Council of Ministers of Lumbini Province has recommended ending the Lumbini Provincial Assembly session.

A meeting of the Council of Ministers chaired by Chief Minister Shankar Pokharel has recommended to the state chief to end the state assembly session convened for 1 pm on Sunday.

The meeting recommended the end of the state assembly session saying that conducting the assembly was not necessary as the Chief Minister has already tendered his resignation.

Chief Minister Pokharel had resigned from the post on Sunday morning.

The CPN (Maoist Center) and the Nepali Congress had tabled a no-confidence motion against Pokhrel in the state assembly.
