No-confidence motion to be tabled against Lumbini CM Pokhrel today

BUTWAL: A special session of the Lumbini Provincial Assembly, convened to decide on the no-confidence motion, will begin today.

The no-confidence motion against Chief Minister Shankar Pokhrel in the Provincial Assembly Secretariat will be tabled in today’s meeting.

Kul Prasad KC, the leader of the parliamentary party of the CPN (Maoist Center) and the proposed Chief Minister, will table the motion.

Lawmakers from different parties will have their say in the proposal.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Pokhrel will furnish his answers on Monday.

As many as 41 lawmakers from the Nepali Congress, Maoist Center and Janata Samajwadi Party had tabled the no-confidence motion in the state assembly secretariat on April 19.
