Province 1 witnesses 291 fresh cases of COVID-19 in 24 hours



BIRATNAGAR: Province one has seen 291 fresh cases COVID-19 in past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Social Development of Province 1, out of 874 PCR tests carried out in different labs in the province 106 women and 185 men were found coronavirus positive in 24 hours.

According to the ministry, Morang has seen the highest number of cases today. 153 people tested coronavirus positive in Morang of late.

Similarly, there have been 58 COVID-19 cases in Jhapa, 55 in Sunsari, four in Taplejung, three in Ilam, two in Udayapur, and one each in Bhojpur, Terhathum and Panchthar in last 24 hours.

The province saw 13 cases in the people outside the province.

As of Friday afternoon, there have been 32651 infection cases in the province.

In the meantime, 30,018 have recovered from the pandemic here.

According to the ministry, there are 2141 actively infected people in the province.
