KATHMANDU: Gandaki Province Assembly (PA) member Khim Bikram Shahi has said that he is committed to the party’s decision.
The provincial lawmaker of Rastriya Janamorcha was due to attend and vote in the PA special session called by the opposition, which had filed a no-confidence motion against Chief Minister Prithvi Subba Gurung. The session was to vote on the motion.
His absence in the PA Wednesday prompted the opposition to suspect a kidnapping attempt, however, he was found admitted to a hospital in Pokhara. Eventually, the session canceled indefinitely.
Issuing a press release Thursday, Shahi has clarified his absence in the PA session Wednesday.
According to him, while he was prepared to go to the PA his health suddenly deteriorated and he called his brother to take him to the hospital.
He has also urged media to refrain from making speculations or distorting reality regarding his Wedneday’s absence, his allegiance and health condition.
