Nepal records 4,897 new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours

Kathmandu Valley witnesses 2,047 fresh COVID-19 cases



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 4,897 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 4,774 persons have been tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 123 have been tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 1,464 persons in Kathmandu, 351 in Lalitpur, and 232 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for the pandemic virus, as of Wednesday afternoon.

Meanwhile, 773 persons have returned home after complete health recovery from COVID-19.

Similarly, the ministry shared that 17 more fatalities were reported in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 3,211.
