Three lawmakers of Gandaki Province test positive for COVID-19

POKHARA: Three lawmakers of Gandaki Province Assembly have tested positive for coronavirus.

The reports of all the lawmakers and staffers of Gandaki Province Assembly have come out this morning.

The health directorate has not made public the names of the infected lawmakers.

The ruling UML lawmakers had obstructed the meeting of Gandaki Province Assembly on Tuesday demanding the PCR tests for all the lawmakers.

After the adjournment of the meeting, the meeting of the Business Advisory Committee had decided to carry out PCR tests on all the lawmakers.

It was agreed that the lawmakers would not be allowed to speak if they are diagnosed with coronavirus but arrangements would be made for voting.

In the first day’s meeting, Nepali Congress (NC), CPN (Maoist Center), and the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) had tabled a no-confidence motion against Gandaki Chief Minister Prithvi Subba Gurung.
