PM directs all units concerned to strictly implement health protocol



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has directed all the local units to strictly implement the health protocol issued by the government.

Prime Minister Oli urged all the units concerned to strictly implement the health protocol during a meeting with the COVID-19 Crisis Management Center (CCMC) with the surge in coronavirus cases in every single day, of late.

Following a briefing by the CCMC on Saturday, Prime Minister Oli urged one and all including the concerned units to strictly implement the health protocol.

According to Khagaraj Baral, the secretary at the Office of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers, who participated in the meeting, Prime Minister Oli stressed the need to strictly implement the health protocol by the local units to prevent and control the rising cases of coronavirus.

The CCMC on April 19 had briefed about the health protocol issued by the government, the status of the coronavirus in the country and the government’s preparations to tackle the pandemic.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister has instructed the CCMC to prepare a draft about the steps to be taken by the government in the coming days to tackle the COVID-19.

As part of preparations, the government has arranged to conduct online classes at schools in the Kathmandu Valley.

It has also made the use of masks and sanitizers mandatory in public vehicles aside from banning a gathering of more than 25 people.
