UML leader Nepal briefing leaders of his faction on talks held with PM Oli



KATHMANDU: Leaders of Nepal-Khanal faction are holding an internal meeting in the capital on Thursday.

According to a UML leader, senior leader Madhav Nepal is briefing the leaders of his faction about the conversation held between him and Prime Minister Oli.

Prime Minister Oli, who is also the chairman of the ruling UML, had held a one-on-one meeting on Wednesday evening. Nepal had told Prime Minister Oli that he would respond to him following talks with the leaders of his faction.

A two-hour-long talk held at at Marriott Hotel in the capital yesterday evening has not been made public.

It is learnt that Nepal is making preparations to take a decision on it following discussions with the leaders of his faction.

The disgruntled faction is making preparations to give a clarification sought by the establishment.

Party Chair Oli on April 20 had sought clarifications from 32 UML lawmakers including five provincial lawmakers of the faction for carrying out activities against the party interest.
