SC hearing on writ against Speaker Sapkota postponed



KATHMANDU: The SC has postponed the hearing on a murder case filed against House of Representatives (HoR) Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota on Wednesday.

With this, hearing on the case has been postponed for the 20th time since it was filed on March 3, 2008.

The Constitutional Bench comprising Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana, Justices Deep Kumar Karki, Meera Khadka, Hari Krishna Karkai and Ishwar Khatiwada were to hear the writ petition filed against Sapkota today.

The hearing has been postponed due to busy schedule of the justices.

The case had been filed by Purnimaya Lama for his involvement in abduction and killing of her husband Arjun Lama during the Maoist insurgency in 2005.
