Suspend helicopter flights to mountainous areas: Home Ministry



KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) has urged all concerned to halt helicopter flights to eastern mountainous areas till tomorrow.

The National Emergency Operations Centre (NEOC) under the MoHA on Friday tweeted urging all concerned to suspend helicopter flights to the eastern mountainous region on Friday and Saturday due to the possibility of snowstorm in those areas.

The MoHA, issued the notice amid concerns that the Cyclone Fani moving towards north could have “general effects” in some parts of Nepal.

It has also urged tourists visiting the area to stay in safe places.
