Badal appointed as Home Minister again, oath-taking ceremony at 5 pm



KATHMANDU: Ram Bahadur Thapa “Badal” has been appointed as the Home Minister again.

Prime Minister KP Oli has recommended his reappointment as Home Minister after he lost his ministerial position.

He is taking the oath of office and secrecy as Home Minister in the evening on Sunday.

Earlier today, he was relieved from the post of National Assembly member as per the CPN Maoist Center’s letter to the Parliament Secretariat.

President Bidya Devi Bhandari will appoint Badal as Home Minister as per Article 78 of the Constitution of Nepal, 2015.

According to Prime Minister Oli’s Press Advisor Surya Thapa, Badal’s oath-taking ceremony is scheduled for 5 pm at Shital Niwas.
