COVID-19: India records 216,850 infections, 1,183 deaths in past 24 hrs



NEW DELHI: India recorded 216,850 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, taking the caseload to 14,287,740.

Currently, 1,569,427 are undergoing treatment at various isolation centers and hospitals. Meanwhile, 12,543,978 have returned home after treatment.

Similarly, the number of deaths from the coronavirus in India has crossed the 172,000-mark.

With 1,183 deaths in a single day, the number of deaths from the virus has reached 174,335, according to the latest figures collated by Worldometers.
