NC leader Koirala smells a rat on UML-Maoist Center collusion



BIRATNAGAR: Nepali Congress (NC) Central Working Committee (CWC) member Dr Shekhar Koirala has smelt a rat on the collusion between the ruling CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Center).

Speaking at a greeting-exchange program held in Biratnagar on the occasion of New Year on Wednesday morning, leader Koirala said the Maoist Center has not pulled out of the Oli-led government worrying that the ruling party would fall into minority.

Koirala alo criticized Speaker Agni Sapkota for his failure to bring neither business nor are proposals coming from the government side.

Meanwhile, he lashed out at Prime Minister KP Oli for not showing up in the parliament until the 12th meeting of the seventh session of parliament, questioning his accountability to the people and the nation.

He further said the NC as a democratic party should not remain as a mute spectator but take the initiative in playing active roles to prevent the nation from sliding into the trap of anti-democratic forces.
