NEPSE increases by 23.23 points, reaches an all-time high



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index increased by 23.23 points on Tuesday and reached an all-time high of 2714.79 points.

The index of the Development Bank has increased by 95 points while the index of the Commercial Bank Group has increased by 42 points. The index of the trade group increased by 69 points and the index of the hydropower group increased by 31 points, while the index of most sub-groups turned red.

The non-life insurance group decreased by 88 points, hotel and tourism by 65 points, and the life insurance group by 51 points.

Among the companies with the highest turnover, Nabil Bank and Nepal Bank Ltd had made a turnover of Rs 280 million each, NIC Asia Bank made a turnover of Rs 240 million, Nifra has a turnover of Rs 210 million and Nepal Bangladesh Bank traded Rs 180 million today.

Similarly, shares of Api Power worth Rs 170 million, Kumari Bank worth Rs 140 million, Upper Tamakoshi, Global IME Bank, and Mega Bank worth Rs 130 million each have been bought and sold today.

A total of 14.6 million shares of 209 companies have been bought and sold 76,000 times, resulting in a turnover of Rs 7.14 billion.

In a market where the share prices of most companies have declined, the share prices of only 85 companies have increased. Share prices of 12 companies have remained stable today.
