KATHMANDU: Private and Boarding Schools’ Organization Nepal (PABSON) has urged the government not to close schools in the name of coronavirus pandemic.

Issuing a statement on Sunday, the umbrella organization of private and boarding schools, has said that the school should be run with strict adherence to health standards as not all students can be included in the online classes.

The organization has also suggested that it would be appropriate to run the classes in coordination with the concerned bodies by managing hot water, health workers, sanitizers, isolation rooms, physical distances, among other safety measures.

PABSON has also urged parents to ensure all safety measures and help protect their children from infections by using proper masks, sanitizers, physical and social distance, and healthy eating.
