Incoming calls barred at PM’s office

KATHMANDU: Making mockery of Prime Minister KP Oli’s commitment to transparency, accountability and good governance, the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers (OPMCM) has barred incoming calls in the numbers assigned for the public to contact for information.

Interestingly, the incoming call in the numbers designated to the spokesperson of OPMCM and information officer to give or take information from the Prime Minister’s office are found restricted.

https://www.opmcm.gov.np has Shankar Nepal as the spokesperson and Kavita Phuyal as the information officer at Singha Durbar based OPMCM.

The contact number assigned to call the spokesperson Nepal is 01-4211080 and the information officer Phuyal is 01-4200270.

‘How can the citizens or beneficiaries get information about the activities of the government and the Council of Ministers when the incoming number to the spokesperson has incoming calls barred?’ a beneficiary who made the complaint about the lack of transparency in the office told Khabarhub.
