Nepse increases by 15.72 points, reaches an all-time high



KATHMANDU: Nepal Stock Exchange Limited (NEPSE) has increased by 15.72 on Tuesday.

The stock market closed at an all-time high of 2674.46 points.

A total of 1,61,800,000 shares of 213 companies have been bought and sold 51,753 times, resulting in a turnover of Rs 7.47 billion today.

The share price of four of companies has increased by 10 percent. Shares of United Idi Mardi RB Hydropower, Universal Power Company, Chilime Hydropower Company, and Chandragiri Hills Company increased by 10 percent.

Similarly, the biggest losers are the shareholders of Salt Trading Corporation. The company’s share price has declined by 10 percent compared to the previous trading day.

The company’s share price has dropped to Rs 11,792 per share. The share price fell as investors began to sell at a cheaper price after the dividend did not come as expected.

The company has proposed to distribute a total of 25 percent dividend with 20 percent bonus shares and 5 percent cash dividend.

Similarly, the share price of Sanima General Insurance Company decreased by 8.78 percent in the second quarter. Of the 13 groups, the index of hotel and tourism group increased the most by 5.62 percent, hydropower group by 4.46 percent, and manufacturing and processing group by 3.3 percent.

Similarly, the indicators of development bank group increased by 1.12 percent, microfinance group by 1.31 percent, mutual fund by 0.13 percent, and investment group by 2.68 percent while the rest of the group’s index decreased.

Most of the transactions have been done by Nepal Infrastructure Bank.  The company’s share price reached Rs 605.

Share prices of most hydropower companies have increased today. Investors have been attracted to hydropower as the share prices of hydropower companies and low-priced companies, which have not been able to grow for some time, have increased.
