Nepse increases by 25.71 points, reaches an all-time high



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index increased by 25.71 points on Sunday and reached an all-time high of 2657.61 points.

Earlier, Nepse had reached 2540.35 points on February 21. Nepse, which started declining after the high point of February, bounced back from 2390 points and reached a new height.

Indexes of trade, hotels and tourism, manufacturing, mutual funds, and investment groups were marked red, but banking groups showed improvement while insurance and other groups boosted the overall market.

The share price of more than half a dozen companies has increased at the circuit level, while the price of salt trading has decreased the most.

The highest number of 468.1 million shares of Nepal Investment Bank was bought and sold. A total of 212 companies traded on Sunday, resulting in a turnover of Rs 9 billion.
