Govt to provide Rs 400 thousand each to Nepali players



KATHMANDU: The government has decided to provide Rs 400 thousand each to winners of the Three Nations Cup Football Championship.

Nepal had won the title of Three Nations Cup Football defeating Bangladesh 2-1 in the final match held at Dasharath Stadium, Tripureshwor on Monday.

Minister for Foreign Affairs, Pradeep Gyawali said that a meeting of the Council of Ministers held Friday morning decided to provide Rs 400 thousand each to the winner players.

Bishal Rai and Sanjog Rai scored two goals for Nepal.

Nepal had won the title in its home ground after 37 years. Nepal received 5,000 US dollars with the title.

All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has also announced to provide Rs 100 thousand each to the Nepali players.
