President Bhandari officially inaugurates Melamchi water distribution



KATHMANDU: President Bidya Bhandari has inaugurated the distribution of Melamchi drinking water in the Kathmandu Valley on Friday.

President Bhandari inaugurated the distribution of Melamchi drinking water by releasing it from the tap at Bhrikutimandap amidst a program at 2 pm today.

The inaugural ceremony saw the presence of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa, Minister of Communication and Information Technology Parbat Gurung, Kathmandu Metropolitan City Mayor Bidhya Sundar Shakya, among others.

Currently, Melamchi water is being distributed from Mahankal, Minbhawan, Khumaltar water tanks and Balaju pond in the capital, said the project.
