UML’s Nepal-Khanal faction decides to join PP meeting today



KATHMANDU: Disgruntled Nepal-Khanal faction of the ruling Communist Party of Nepal (UML) has decided to join the Parliamentary Party’s meeting called by Prime Minister and party Chair KP Oli at 3 PM in Baluwatar today.

According to sources, a meeting of the party’s Central Committee members close to Senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal and Jhala Nath Khanal held in Kalanki Friday afternoon decided to join the PP meeting and raise their concerns using the meeting as a forum.

“We will go to the meeting of the parliamentary party and demand a meeting of the party’s Standing Committee, Politburo and Central Committee so that all the concerns can be discussed openly in the party forums,” one of the leaders said after the group’s meet in Kalanki earlier.
