Lawmaker Chaudhary clarifies his stance on JSP support to government

KATHMANDU: Imprisoned Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) lawmaker Resham Chaudhary has clarified his stance regarding JSP support to the government.

Chaudhary will follow the party’s decision on power-sharing and will not object to the decision his party will take.

Issuing a note from Dillibazar Prison Thursday, Chaudhary cleared that the decision whether to join government would solely be the party’s decision and he would not raise any objection to the party decision.

He has also written that his attention has been drawn towards fake publicity being done by using his name in connection with the JSP joining the government.

Content in media and social media had been suggesting that Chaudhary was against JSP lending support to the government.

Chaudhary condemned such content and stated they were not truthful.

Following such publicity, JSP leader Rajendra Mahato reached Dillibazar Prison Wednesday to meet with Chaudhary.

Currently, JSP is holding talks with CPN-UML on power-sharing.
