Maoist Center’s SC meeting underway

KATHMANDU: A Standing Committee (SC) meeting of the CPN (Maoist Center) is taking place at its parliamentary party office in Singha Durbar on Tuesday morning.  Earlier, the meeting was scheduled to be held at Paris Danda in Koteshwor.

The SC meeting which began at 8:30 am is dwelling on the latest political developments including the new power-sharing and the withdrawal of the support to the government, said SC member Ganesh Sah.

According to SC member Pampha Bhusal, today’s meeting will discuss the future political course and the upcoming plans of the party.

The Maoist Center is still in the Prime Minister Oli-led government even after the Supreme Court restored the erstwhile CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Center, scrapping their unification as the Nepal Communist Party (NCP).

Maoist Center leaders have been saying that their party has not yet withdrawn its support to the Oli-led government since main opposition Nepali Congress (NC) and Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) are still undecided over the new power-sharing.
