15 security personnel killed in IED blast in India’s Maharashtra

NEW DELHI: At least 15 security personnel have been killed in an IED blast in Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra today, Indian media reported.

The incident took place on the Naxal-affected Kurkheda-Korchi road of the district when a team of the anti-Naxal unit, C-60 squad commandoes, was patrolling the area.

This attack has been termed as the biggest attack on security forces in the last two years in the state. (Agencies)
