YCL to hold national gathering in June

KATHMANDU: Young Communist League (YCL), the youth wing of the CPN (Maoist Center), has decided to move forward by recruiting 165,000 new members into the organization and holding a national convention in June.

The central committee of YCL, which held a two-day meeting in Kathmandu on March 17 and 18, decided to expand the organization by adding 1,000 new members in each constituency, totaling 165,000 members, by April 13. There are a total of 165 constituencies in the country.

“We have also decided to hold a national convention on June 11 and 13 this year,” said YCL Chairman Ram Prasad Sapkota.

YCL also passed its statute amendment resolution to form a 161-member central committee and transformed all of its existing committees into national gathering organizing committees.
